WHO WE ARE

Calvary South Lakes Church

Calvary South Lakes is an independent evangelical, bible believing church which began Sunday worship services in Kendal in July 2006. In 2007, services were relocated to the village of Staveley, where the church continues to hold its Sunday morning service.

Over the years the church has seen followers of Christ from all around the South Lakes area - and beyond - faithfully commit to the life of CSL.

Jeff has been the full time pastor of Calvary South Lakes since 2009. He trained for the ministry at Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe before settling in Kendal, Cumbria.

He is married to Mary and has three adult children and a grandchild on the way. In his spare time Jeff plays sports and enjoys watching films with his family. He supports Newcastle United and can often be spotted in Wetherspoons.

CSL is part of a worldwide network of over 1,800 Calvary Chapel Churches. Calvary Chapel is not a denomination but a fellowship of churches who share in a common philosophy of ministry. At the heart of the Calvary Chapel movement is a passionate commitment to the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and the teaching of the Word of God. Whilst our ministries are varied, our mission is simple: to proclaim Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and to make disciples of Jesus Christ, to the glory of God.

It is this commitment to the Gospel and the Word of God that has seen over 40 Calvary Chapel churches planted in the UK alone over the last twenty years.
